Ice Cream Truck Ornament

An ice cream truck glass ornament keeps one of the great sounds of childhood on a December tree, jingle and all. Children claim this one immediately, usually before the box is fully unpacked. It hangs on the tree, on a playroom garland, or on a gift for a kid who is old enough to have strong opinions about which flavor is best.

Perfect for: a child’s first ornament, gifts from grandparents, summer birthday keepsakes, stocking stuffers, foodie trees, and teacher gifts.

This ice cream ornament comes from Old World Christmas, whose glass ornaments are mouth-blown into a carved mold, then hand-painted and glittered in a tradition that began in the 1800s. It arrives in a keepsake box and hangs from a standard hook, low on the tree where small hands can find it. Families often buy one the summer a child first learns to run for the truck.

Group it with the other food and drink pieces for a foodie tree, then browse more glass Christmas ornaments.
